The new building that is being touted as a game-changer for Xenia families has almost all of its walls in place along South Prorgress Drive in Xenia.
The 75,000-square-foot REACH Center is a partnership between Xenia, the Greater Dayton YMCA, Clark State Community College and Central State University. The REACH Center will replace the senior center and the Xenia YMCA.
Kettering Health bought the land for the project and plans to eventually have a facility at the site. Phase one is expected to be open in 2019.

The busy street that welcomes drivers to Xenia on U.S. 35 traveling eastbound has other activity happening. A new Hampton Inn and Suites is in the final stages of construction, and two small retail buildings have been completed on adjacent Hospitality Drive that includes a new Penn Station.

With Walmart and Lowe’s anchoring the business area, the City of Xenia installed a new traffic signal at Hospitality Drive and West Main Street to ease access to the big retailers and make the intersection safer. Included in this work was changing the U.S. 35 westbound ramp to West Main Street into a stop.
