Planners hope to break ground on the plaza, which their website says “will provide a central destination for our community to connect and unwind,” in August.

Current plans call for the stage, which will have state-of-the-art sound and lighting, to be positioned close to the intersection of Main and Fifth Streets. The artists will face an audience seated in an open lawn setting north of the stage.
The square is flanked by the Dayton Convention Center to the south and the former United Brethren Publishing House, now called the Centre City Building, to the north.
