WATCH: You won’t believe how much the Cornerstone of Centerville site has changed

The newest area Kroger, on Feedwire Road between Costco and Cabela’s, opened its doors Thursday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The 115,000-square-foot facility features include a pharmacy drive-thru, a The Little Clinic, a bistro and a Starbucks. It will employ about 300 workers.

This store is the latest project in the Cornerstone of Centerville development.

In 2014, Costco Warehouse opened its first store in the Dayton area as the anchor tenant for the 225-acre Cornerstone of Centerville multi-use project.

The Cornerstone project sits upon what was once the Dille Farm of Sugarcreek.

It is expected the entire project will include retail, office, and residential components spanning 10 to 12 years.

The area now includes shops and restaurants such as Cabela’s, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, and First Financial Bank.

Currently, the project is in its fourth phase which includes the building a hotel,  Home2Suites and development of about 72 acres - nearly half of the entire development area.
