The board will be asked to approve the termination of eight non-teaching jobs as a reduction-in-force move, records show. They include seven attendants and one behavioral assistant, according to the district.

The board also will be asked to recall two individuals, one of whom is a part of the termination plan, records indicate, as well as approve a five-year financial forecast.

The moves come several months after voters in the school district – which includes parts of Miami Twp. and Moraine – approved a levy that increases tax funding for the first time in nine years.

Passage in November of a 5.5-mill property tax allowed the district to reinstate busing service cut after an earlier levy defeat, Superintendent Rusty Clifford said. Approval of the November issue also helped the district avoid cutting 20 to 25 teachers, Clifford said.
