DUNLAP,
Marna O'Connor
Marna O'Connor Dunlap left this earth on Monday, December 28th, 2020, after a long, well fought battle with
Alzheimer's. She was preceded in death by her parents Frances and Andrew Fiely, her husband John Dunlap, her sister Evelyn Cugeber, her son-in-law Doug Kirchner, her granddaughter Stacy O'Connor, and a host of many friends. She was incredibly beautiful inside and out and was always so much fun. She didn't know a stranger and took care of anyone who needed helping. She is survived by her children, Maureen O'Connor (formerly Kirchner), Dan (Mary) O'Connor, Nanette (Larry) Butterbaugh, Tim (Cindy)
O'Connor, Mark O'Connor, Karen (Luke) Koors, Mike
O'Connor, Julia (Phil) Lee, and Rosemarie (Marty) Corrado, as well as 24 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and Donald O'Connor, the father of her 9 children. Marna was a graduate of St. Joseph Commercial High School and took college courses at Sinclair. She worked at Monsanto, Hallum Furniture, Our Lady of Mercy cafeteria, the Dayton Daily News, and for the City of Dayton for many years. She also volunteered to do
taxes for the elderly at Lohrey Senior Center. She loved to travel, dance, play bridge, sing, garden, water aerobics,
animals, and was always laughing and smiling. While raising her 9 children, she also took care of her Mother, her great aunts and uncle, and helped put her husband, Donald
O'Connor, through college. She showed her children that
everyone should always be included and to help and take care of anyone in need. The family would like to thank the Enclave of Springboro for her excellent care and friendship, and Day City Hospice for their care. A mass to celebrate her life will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 9579 Yankee Road, Springboro, OH, on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021. Visitation, at the church, starts at 10 a.m. and the mass will start promptly at 11 am. Father Jim Manning will be officiating. Masks and social distancing will be required. Interment is at Calvary Cemetery. And finally thanks to God for our wonderful parents, Marna and Don. The 9 of us had an awesome childhood and life.
