VAN GUNDY, Delmar L. "Del"

Age 71, of Brookville, passed away January 6, 2021. He was born April 10, 1949, in Osborn, Ohio. Del was preceded in death by his mother and father; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Del is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy; sons: John Van Gundy (Tara) and Michael Van Gundy (Lori); daughter, Sharon "Meagan" Rutan; grandchildren: Tyler, Bailey, Amber, Jesse and Jacob; 2 step-grandsons; brother, Scott Van Gundy (Lori); sister, Terri Seidelman; many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Del was a police officer for 16 years and retired from Clay Township Police Department. He was a proud Marine in the Vietnam War; was a volunteer fire and rescue for Harrison Township Fire Department for 10 years and was a children's pastor for many years. Visitation will be held from 12-1 pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Route 40, Brookville. Pastor Mark McVey officiating. Contributions may be made in Del's memory to Agape Family Worship Center, Beavercreek.
