S'mores bar at Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio

If you are looking for a weekend getaway close to Dayton this summer, this popular spot just climbed to the top of the list with its new gourmet treats.

Now through Labor Day, Great Wolf Lodge next to Kings Island in Mason is pulling out all of the stops for a mega gourmet s'mores bar. The special feature is a part of the resort's Summer Camp-In Celebration — a program designed to give guests the experience of a perfect summer in one visit. The program includes campfire ceremonies, pool parties, a BBQ, trailblazer challenges, seasonal rooms and more.

Great Wolf’s “Master S’morelier,” Chef Grant Baker, has created a collection of three handcrafted s’mores featuring “flavored artisanal marshmallows” from acclaimed Brooklyn bakery Whimsy & Spice, which Saveur credited with “having perfected the handmade marshmallow.” Similar to a sommelier, Great Wolf Lodge’s Master S’morelier has perfectly paired flavored marshmallows with toppings and accompaniments to tantalize the taste buds,” according to a Great Wolf Lodge press release.
