The Jimmy John’s sandwich shop that opened in May at 220 N. Main St. in downtown Dayton never really had a formal grand opening at the time, so it has decided to host a “Customer Appreciation Day” during which it will sell its sandwiches for $1.

The celebration will start with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, and the discounted sandwiches will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the downtown Dayton Biltmore Towers location only.

Customers can choose from a half-dozen Classic sandwiches or the JJBLT, according to a Jimmy John’s release. The deal is limited to one per person and will be available in-store only, so customers will need to stop by the store and order it there to receive the discount.

“We have received tremendous support from the people of Dayton since opening our store in May,” Jeff Wagoner, franchisee owner of the Jimmy John’s downtown store, said in the release. “We want to thank our customers for welcoming our new store into their community by offering fresh and fast subs on Thursday for just one dollar.”
