NOW OPEN

🍗 Raising Cane’s

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, the Louisiana-based restaurant company, opened Oct. 30 at 4384 Indian Ripple Road across from The Greene in Beavercreek. It is Raising Cane’s 400th restaurant system-wide.

This is the chain’s second Dayton-area restaurant. A Raising Cane’s opened on Miamisburg-Centerville Road in Washington Twp. in early 2017, to an enthusiastic response that occasionally prompted traffic backups on the busy street.

Hours of operation at Beavercreek’s new Raising Cane’s are Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to midnight. The restaurant is the 28th in Ohio.

🍛 Curry & Grill

The Dayton area’s newest full-service Indian restaurant opened Oct. 8 across from the Dayton Mall.

Curry & Grill, which specializes in the cuisine of northern India, is located at 39 Fiesta Lane, at the intersection of Ohio 741 and Ohio 725 just west of the mall.

Curry & Grill General Manager Angie Cohorn and Shahzan Kabir, the restaurant’s chef who honed his skills in England for 20 years, said all dishes are made fresh to order. The menu includes several curry and biryani dishes as well as specialties from the Tandoor oven, with chicken, lamb, seafood, goat and vegetarian options. Tandoor oven entrees include Lobster saute, Lamb Boti Kabob and Grilled Quail. Naan and other specialty breads as well as desserts are available.

🍕 Little Caesars

The Miami Valley’s pizza war escalated further on Oct. 18 with the opening of another restaurant.

This time it was Little Caesars, which opened its second new Dayton-area restaurant in the last five months, at 832 S. Main St. (Ohio 48) in Centerville, according to Frank J. Sanchez, CEO of Apple Dough LLC, a franchisee for Little Caesars restaurants in the region.

The newest Little Caesars occupies space that previously housed Papa Murphy’s Pizza.
