Six-time state champ Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary rebounded from a thumping at unbeaten Trotwood-Madison Sunday night to overcome a monster effort by Pickerington North’s Jerome Hunter and post a 64-56 victory in Day 3 of the 15th annual Flyin’ to the Hoop at Trent Arena on Sunday. Akron SVSM lost 100-61 at Trotwood.

Jayvon Graves had 27 points and 13 rebounds to spark height-challenged SVSM (6-4).

Hunter, a 6-7 junior, showed why he has offers from Dayton, Ohio State and Xavier, scoring 29 points to go with 15 rebounds and two blocks for the Panthers (10-5).
