Cincinnati Reds sign 11 draft picks, including first-round selection

The Reds announced today the signing of 11 of their 41 draft picks, including first-round pick Nick Senzel.

Senzel, a third baseman from the University of Tennessee, was the second overall pick in last week's draft. Senzel will receive a $6.2 million contract bonus, according to mlb.com. The pick was slotted at $7,762,900.

Outfielder Taylor Trammell of Mount Paran Christian School in Kennesaw, Ga., whom the Reds selected with the 35th overall pick in the competitive balance round, also signed, as did second-round pick Chris Okey, a catcher from Clemson.

Other players who have signed are: Joseph Cox (pitcher, seventh round), Alex Webb (pitcher, ninth round), Lucas Benenati (pitcher, 10th round), Aaron Quillen (pitcher, 22nd round), Bruce Yari (first baseman, 24th round), Colby Wright (infielder, 25th round) and Patrick Riehl (pitcher, 26th round).
