Cleveland Browns: ‘A Football Life: Jim Brown’ coming to NFL Network

The next new episode of the critically acclaimed “A Football Life” from NFL Films will feature Jim Brown.

The Cleveland Browns legend is among more than a dozen interviewees for the program, which will air for the first time after the Browns-Ravens game Thursday night on NFL Network.

I’ll tell you why I am the way that I am,” Brown says in the show. “It doesn’t start on the field. It starts as a person. I was dealing with race since I was born. And in my inner-self, my strength was unbending when it came to accepting that B.S. – racial discrimination. Because I was never going to let anybody make me feel that I was not top-shelf. And that was a battle that raged, and I could use a lot of that on the field.”

Aside from his amazing feats on the field, Brown’s role in social activism and the racial inequalities he faced during a Hall of Fame career are chronicled.

Other noteworthy participants in the film include Ray Lewis, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jesse Jackson, Dr. Harry Edwards, Paul Warfield and Oliver Stone.
