Former Dayton Flyers guard Jordan Sibert traveled to Florida on Friday and will sign soon with the Orlando Magic, he said. He will compete for a spot on the team during training camp.
“New journey. Same mission,” he wrote on Instagram.
Sibert played for the Magic’s summer league team in Orlando in July. In three games, he averaged 11.3 points, 3 rebounds and 1.7 assists.
The Magic, who have a new coach, Scott Skiles, open training camp Sept. 26. They play their first preseason game at the Amway Center in Orlando on Oct. 3.
