Scott won the 110-meter high hurdles (13.73), becoming the first Marauder to win a D-II national title.
“It feels great to make history at Central State University,” said Scott in a Marauder Athletics website posting. “My goal is to continue to sustain this level of success and make more history as I continue my collegiate career.”
Scott was a key member of Dunbar’s D-II boys state title team as a senior in 2015.
Koch won the women’s 800 (2:05.21). Michalski won the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase on Friday. His winning time of 8:44.49 was a school record and IMG Academy facility record. A two-time All-American in the event, he placed 8th in the 2016 national championship.
Michalski and Koch are in contention for spots in the U.S. Nationals this summer.
Also earning All-American status was:
• Olivia Esbenshade of Cedarville University; third in the women’s 1,500 (4:21.23);
• Josh Bass, Indianapolis senior and Springfield High School grad, fourth in the long jump (24-10);
• Dajsha Avery, Grand Valley State junior and Wayne High School grad, sixth in the shot put (49-3).
Saint Augustine won its fifth consecutive men’s team title and West Texas A&M won the women’s title. The meets were held at IMG Academy.
