Elder tops Centerville, 56-39

With quarterback Messiah deWeaver distributing the ball, and a ferocious defense, the Wayne High School football team beat previously undefeated Miamisburg 49-14, piling up 500 yards in the process.

Valley View was undefeated, playing Franklin at home, and the Wildcats handed them five first half turnovers. Turning those turnovers into points became a problem, and Franklin upset set the Spartans 21-18.

Fenwick and Badin were both unbeaten,  but the Falcons had Nathan Jeffers, who scored five touchdowns and helped Fenwick beat Badin 38-31 in a GCL classic.

After starting the season 3-0, Vandalia-Butler lost last week for the first time all season, then ran into a Springfield buzzsaw. Depth and speed led the Wildcats to a 51-13 win over the Aviators.
