Hamilton girls fall to Colerain

Colerain High School rolled in the first quarter and defeated Hamilton 52-40 in girls basketball Saturday.

The Cardinals led 15-4 after the first. Hamilton out-scored Colerain the next two quarters but couldn’t catch up.

Jillian Spurlock led Hamilton with 22 points. Ja’Monique Moore had six points, eight rebounds.

Kaylee Allen led Colerain with 23 points, 14 rebounds. Erin Sherrer had 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Lakota East 56, Middletown 47: Kandace Satterwhite led Lakota East with 16 points, seven rebounds. Cydney Franklin scored 11.

Vada Edwards led Middletown with 27 points, 12 rebounds. Korie Roberts had eight points while Alexandra Shealey had three points, 11 rebounds.

Middletown led after the first quarter, but Lakota East out-scored the Middies the rest of the game.

Lakota West 55, Fairfield 29: Lauren Cannatelli led Lakota West with 12. Bria Spaulding scored 10 for Fairfield.

Mount Health 45, Ross 33: Sean Madden led Ross with 12.

Little Miami 57, Edgewood 53, 2OT: Little Miami shot 20-of-37 from the foul line and made critical foul shots in overtime. Brittany Marts led Edgewood with 22 points.

Badin 69, Roger Bacon 24: The visiting Rams started the game with a 15-3 run. Torey Stang scored 15, Kalli Riggins 12 and Stephanie Clark 10 for Badin.

Alter 66, Fenwick 32: The Knights won with 15 from Maddie Bazelak and 10 from Emma Bockrath. Katie McCarthy led the Falcons with 10.

Valley View 44, Eaton 38: Hannah Collins paced the Spartans with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals. She shot 10-of-12 from the foul line and Alexis Stidham added 12 points. Eaton was led by Libby Springmier with 13 points.

Boys basketball

Temple Christian 45, New Miami 43: Nick Mellott and Austin Morgan each scored 16 for the Vikings.
