Hunter Greene tripled in debut, but not all were impressed

Reds’ 2017 top pick Hunter Greene made his pro debut Tuesday with the Billings Mustang of the Pioneer League against the Idaho Falls Chukars.

The right-handed pitcher out of Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, Calif., is listed as the team’s No. 2 prospect. But he was hitting on Tuesday. He will debut on the mound Aug. 27.

Greene, who turned 18 on Sunday,  batted sixth as the designated hitter. His highlight was a two-run triple in his fourth professional at-bat.
