Springboro tight end Justin Rigg (6-6, 240), Wayne defensive back Tobias Gilliam (6-0, 185) and Trotwood-Madison linebacker Ronald Walder (6-3, 220) are among the haul. Expect more locals to follow. The Cats have also extended offers to Wayne quarterback Messiah DeWeaver (6-4, 210), Springfield defensive lineman Kordell Looney (6-4, 280), Springfield offensive lineman Darius Harper (6-7, 268) and Lakota West defensive back Sean Mahone (6-0, 200).
Speaking of Springfield: Looney and Harper promise to be part of a Wildcats roster loaded with prospects. In addition to Kentucky, Harper has offers from Maryland, Illinois and Cincinnati. Looney holds additional offers from Miami, Toledo, Bowling Green and Kent State.
Sophomore running back Danny Davis (6-1, 175) is the diamond. Davis has early offers from Michigan State, Kentucky and Illinois. He could switch to receiver in college.
Open door: Chaminade Julienne junior quarterback Jacob Harrison (6-1, 190) recently decommitted from Akron and reopened his recruitment. He's since added offers from Air Force and Navy. Expect more. Harrison has accounted for 62 TDs the last two years.
Staying close: Lakota East junior offensive lineman Dalton Strunk (6-6, 265) committed to Miami. Strunk also holds offers from Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan.
Knight time: Alter junior offensive lineman Chris Beech (6-2, 280) recently picked up his first offer from Ball State.
Dayton duo: Waynesville senior kicker Dillon Sarka (6-0, 174) and Dunbar senior offensive lineman Gregory Mickey (6-4, 205) have signed with Findlay. Sarka picked Findlay over Ashland, Ohio Dominican and Indiana (Pa.).
North of the border: Hillsdale (Mich.) is hoping to bolster its offense with the addition of two Midwest Athletic Conference players. Parkway senior offensive lineman Jared Puthoff (6-3, 282) and Versailles senior tight end Zach Steinbrunner (6-4, 210) have signed with the Chargers.
