Boston College transfer Kamari Williams will join the Miami RedHawks men’s basketball program, Miami announced Tuesday. He entered the transfer portal April 1 and announced his commitment Monday.
A 6-foot-7 forward, Williams averaged 2.6 points and 1.2 rebounds as a sophomore last season.
“We are excited about Kamari joining the family! He is a skilled player who has the ability to shoot the basketball,” Miami coach Jack Owens said in a press release. “He provides good size, length, and athleticism at the guard position and I know he will come to Oxford ready to work. He is looking forward to embracing this opportunity and helping our program win.”
Williams is from Sandy Spring, Md., and St. Andrew’s Episcopal High School. He was a three-star recruit in the 2019 class, according to Rivals.com.
In two seasons at Boston College, Williams appeared in 40 games, averaging 11.7 minutes per game.
In other Miami roster news this spring, four-year letterwinners Dalonte Brown and Precious Ayah announced they would return to take advantage of an extra year of eligibility.
