Miami University Hall of Fame basketball star passes away

Miami University Athletics Hall of Famer Bob Brown passed away Thursday at the age of 92.

One of the Red and White’s first All-MAC players, Brown was fifth in the nation in scoring in 1947 when he averaged 19.0 points per game.

He was Miami’s all-time leading scorer when his career concluded in 1949, and he went on to play professionally for the Providence Steam Rollers, Denver Nuggets and Denver Refiners.

Brown was inducted into the school’s hall of fame in 1972.
