HS Roundup 12/11: Rubin leads Oakwood boys in rally win

The Oakwood boys basketball team rallied in the second half for a 48-45 win versus Valley View on Tuesday.

Darren Rubin scored 16 points and Daniel Hu had 11 for Oakwood.

Gio Geiger totaled 13 points and Cade Cradlebaugh 10 for Valley View.

Alter 56, LaSalle 49: Brady Uhl led the way with 23 points and Conor Stolly added 11 to help Alter hold off LaSalle.

Beavercreek 60, Fairborn 57: Chris Herbort had 18 points and Isaiah Moore 13 to help ‘Creek win in rally fashion. Shaunn Monroe poured in 32 points for Fairborn.

Carlisle 66, Milton-Union 44: Joe Gay carried Carlisle with 19 points, Nolan Burney added 16 and Isaiah Dean 15. Aaran Stone scored 12 points for Milton-Union.

Catholic Central 55, Greeneview 34: Sabien Doolittle turned in 20 points and Trey Dunn 14 for Central. Gabe Caudill tallied 14 points for Greeneview.

Fairbanks 85, Triad 56: Cross Hackathorne had 15 points to lead four players in double-digit scoring for Fairbanks. Bryan Bundy tallied 11 points for Triad.

Greenon 67, Southeastern 50: Cade Rice carried Greenon with 18 points and Luke Downing tacked on 12. Bryce Grim scored 16 points for Southeastern.

Fort Loramie 47, Houston 40: Eli Rosengarten finished with 16 points and Nick Brandewie 13 for Fort Loramie. John Leist and Tristan Freisthuler each had 11 for Houston.

Legacy Christian 65, Yellow Springs 34: Erik Uszysnski led Legacy with 21 points and Keano Hammerstrom had 13.

Madison 51, Dixie 34: Matt Gomia finished with 16 points and Ryan Duritsch 13 for Madison. Clark Miller led Dixie with 12 points.

Miami Valley 45, Dayton Christian 33: Pruthvi Choudary spurred Miami Valley with 14 points. Devin Dreier totaled 16 points for DC.

Miamisburg 90, West Carrollton 51: Brett Hensley scored 27 points, including five three-pointers, to lead ‘Burg. Alex Ball added 14 points and Corey Hartman 11. Kalen McKinney scored 17 points for West Carrollton.

Stivers 63, Ponitz 57: Trevon Ellis turned in 23 points for Stivers.

West Liberty-Salem 57, Northeastern 39: Nick Burden scored 16 points and Holden Nease 15 to lead WLS. Michael Burns netted 11 for Northeastern.

Girls Basketball

Arcanum 66, Preble Shawnee 51: Kayla O’Daniel totaled 20 points with seven rebounds and Madelyn Fearon added 17 points with seven rebounds for Arcanum. Logan Hollon had 18 points for Preble.

Coldwater 48, Celina 29: Alli May recorded 16 points and Kate Leichty 15 for Coldwater.

Covington 65, Mississinawa Valley 33: Samantha Whiteman poured in 32 points and Claudia Harrington had 16 for Covington. Olivia Murphy led Mississinawa Valley with 16 points.

Delphos St. John’s 53, St. Marys 48: Paige Gaynier put up 22 points for DSJ. Lauren Cisco led St. Marys with 14 points.

Fenwick 53, Ross 39: Brooke Brunner finished with 13 points for Fenwick.

Franklin Monroe 63, Bethel 39: Corina Conley poured in 27 points and Belle Cable tacked on 19 for Franklin Monroe.

National Trail 65, Northridge 32: Makena Laird netted 18 points for National Trail. Loraine Reeder paced Northridge with 16 points.

Carroll 2283, Chaminade Julienne 2086: Jaden Baez paced CJ with a 347 series.

Centerville 2553, Lebanon 2352: Ian Dobran bowled a 443 series to lead Centerville. Gabe Taulbee led Lebanon with a 492.

Urbana 2738, Ben Logan 2472: Devon Snider and Tyler Nicholas each had a 216 game for Ben Logan.

Girls Bowling

Urbana 2192, Ben Logan 2179: Tayler Brant rolled a 379 series in a losing effort for Ben Logan.
