HS Roundup 11/23: Versailles, Tri-Village win at Bill Burkett Tourney

Versailles edged Chaminade Julienne 51-46 in overtime and Tri-Village knocked off Greenon 69-30 in the opening round of the Bill Burkett Tournament in girls basketball action on Friday.

That set up a championship game between Versailles and Tri-Village and a consolation matchup for CJ and Greenon on Saturday.

Emma Printz put up 21 points and Meghan Downing added 20 to pace Tri-Village.

Lindsey Winner scored 14 and Caitlin McEldowney tacked on 12 for Versailles.

Staci Greene led CJ with 16 points and Courtney Redd turned in 13 rebounds.

Girls Basketball

Anna 38, New Bremen 33: Ella Doseck recorded 21 points to pace Anna.

Bradford 51, Eaton 46: Emily Dungan tallied 12 points in a losing effort for Eaton.

Covington 52, Houston 27: Sammi Whiteman poured in 27 points with 10 rebounds to lead Covington and Makenzee Maschino hauled in 15 rebounds.

Carroll 68, Wyoming 39: Julia Keller finished with 15 points, Liz Bush added 14 and Ava Lickliter 13 points and five steals to pace Carroll.

Franklin Monroe 57, Brookville 24: Corina Conley carried FM with 19 points and Belle Cable added on 14.

Mechanicsburg 56, Urbana 16: Emma Jones led ‘Burg with 20 points and Grace Forrest tacked on 11 in the Bill Skeeter Moss Memorial Classic.

Southeastern 43, Graham 34: Leslie Flores scored 14 points for Southeastern. Katelyn Nash and Lexi King each had 15 in a losing effort for Graham.

St. Marys 52, Fort Jennings 41: Kendall Dieringer paced St. Marys with 14 points.
