Caesar Creek Lake: There has been quite a bit of musky action in the cove next to the Ohio 73 bridge. Several have been caught, but no sizes reported. Crappies are deep, 12-15 feet, hitting on minnows. Work the stickups to catch bluegills with wax worms.
Indian Lake: Crappie fishing has been outstanding. Anglers have been getting them from the banks and boats, although recent windy conditions have kept boats off the lake. Use minnows and fish at varying depths from banks, docks and boats. Jigs tipped with waxworms have been good baits, too. Saugeye fishing has slowed under the windy conditions. A few have been caught off of the south bank and in the "donut harbor." Catfish are hitting bass minnows, night crawlers and cut shad.
Grand Lake St. Marys: Good crappie fishing continues in the channels in brushy areas 18 inches to 3 feet deep. Jigs tipped with waxworms have been the best baits. Minnows, too. Bluegills are around rocks and docks, hitting waxworms and red worms. Catfish have been caught in the main lake on cut shad and nightcrawlers.
C.J. Brown Reservoir: The best crappie fishing has been early in the morning until noon around the marina. Crappie minnows and waxworms have been the best baits. Walleyes have been caught in the creek at the north end of the lake on minnows and Vib-E's. Catfish have been biting on nightcrawlers. Bluegills are around rocks, hitting waxworms.
Clark Lake: Good fishing for trout, bluegills and crappies is taking place. Use waxworms or trout baits for trout; minnows for crappies and waxworms or red worms for bluegills.
Lake Loramie: Crappie fishing has been excellent around lily pads and brush. Use white, chartreuse or pink jigs tipped with waxworms or use crappie minnows. Saugeye fishing in the creek has slowed, but a few are hitting twisters, bass minnows or Vib-E's. Bluegills are hitting ice jigs tipped with waxworms around pad stems. Catfish are biting on nightcrawlers and chicken liver.
Acton Lake: Crappies are staging to come in, but they haven't quite reached the banks. Fish in 5-8 feet of water with minnows or jigs. Bass have been hitting plastic worms or jigs fished with a slow presentation. Work the areas just off points. Bluegills are hitting waxworms. A few saugeyes have been caught by anglers fishing for crappies.
Rush Run Lake: Good crappie fishing has started, mostly by fishing with minnows just off of the banks. Trout are being caught on minnows, corn and Power Baits. Bluegills are going after waxworms and red worms.
Lake Erie: Walleyes have been caught by anglers trolling and jigging over the past week, although trolling over the past weekend was less productive than the prior week. Trollers have caught fish around the outer cans of the Camp Perry firing range with the southern "F" and "G" cans being best, along with "B" can and also from "E" to "D" producing fish. Rapala deep husky jerks have been the most consistent crankbait. Jigging has improved near "K" can of the Camp Perry range, and also on some of the reefs within the range. Purple hair jigs have been the lure of choice for jiggers
Maumee River: Caution should be used wading or boating as the river is rising from this week's rain. Once the river crests, a large number of walleyes should be present. Fishing pressure has been moderate.
Sandusky River: Some nice catches have been reported in the area of Rodger Young Park, but the river is starting to rise so that might change.
