Emily weakens to a Tropical Depression, headed out to sea

What was once Tropical Storm Emily, is now Tropical Depression Emily.

The storm which made landfall early Monday near Tampa Bay, Florida continues to weaken as it is over land.

The storm is dumping a lot of rain on the sunshine state and the threat for isolated tornadoes continues through Tuesday morning.

Beyond Tuesday morning, the threat will diminish as the storm is expected to move into the Atlantic.

From there, Emily is expected to gain strength and re-develop into a Tropical Storm.

At this point though, the storm is not expected to make landfall once it moves off of the Florida coast.
