Unusually warm weather continues today

Today will be warmer than usual with sunny skies expected, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Today’s high could hit about 83 degrees, which is about 12 degrees higher than normal for this time of year.

A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms is predicted for tonight into early Tuesday as temperatures fall to around 64 degrees.

It’ll cool down just a bit on Tuesday with a high near 75 and a low around 52. Partly sunny skies are predicted.

The temperatures rebound Wednesday and Thursday, with highs of 79 and 81, respectively.

Much cooler weather is expected by the weekend, when highs will be in the low to mid 60s.
