The Great Miami River overflowed its banks and flooded Island Park, causing the park district to close the facility until the water recedes.

The water has covered the playground, grass and walkways, making it impossible to enjoy the park.

Box 21, which is a local emergency response team is also having to deal with high water because it is located near the park. Officials with Box 21 said that water seems to be holding steady. They said it is not receding, but is not rising.

Triangle Park has also been affected by high water and some flooding, making spending some time at the parks not enjoyable.
