Hey kids, Santa Claus wants to know what’s on your mind.

The jolly old elf likes to visit Dayton, and one of his favorite annual stops is the 2nd Street Market.

“Santa sent us a special message to let us know that because there were so many good children this year, there’s extra work to be done at the North Pole!” his friends at Five Rivers MetroParks said.

Because he can’t make it to the market this year, he would like letters with questions from local children.

Calling all local kids! Remember to send in your letters with questions for Santa by Monday, December 14th! Starting on...

Kids can send Santa questions that are holiday-related, nature-themed or anything else that strikes their fancy.

Santa will read letters in a virtual visit from the North Pole each evening from Friday, Dec. 18 through Christmas Eve at 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd Street Market Facebook page.

The letters are needed at the North Pole by Monday, Dec. 14 and can be sent to the 2nd Street Market at marketinfo@metroparks.org or as a message to the market’s Facebook page.

Santa would also like to see festive picture submissions of families, pets or favorite holiday traditions.
