Areas businesses, organizations honored for “going green”

We’re doing something different in today’s Business Insider. We’re using the entire column to recognize 69 area companies and organizations for their work on “going green” — a major trend in business today.

On Wednesday, Dayton Regional Green 3 awarded its Green Business Certification honor to these organizations for their efforts to protect and improve the environment.

“The Green Business Certification Program is a voluntary program designed to help businesses take basic green measures to reduce their ecological footprint, reduce their energy and resource use, and save money in the process,” the organization said in a release. “Program emphasis is on day to day operations and policies; making small changes to everyday routines and using effective strategies to save on commercial energy and resources that could potentially save businesses thousands of dollars a year.”
