Phipps has played a central role in developing Woolpert’s unmanned aerial systems (UAS) strategy, which includes addressing the needs of precision agriculture in Ohio, company officials said.
Woolpert is a national architectural, engineering and geospatial firm headquartered in Beavercreek.
Jim Zehringer, director of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, will serve as moderator at the event. Panelists include representatives from the NASA Science Mission Directorate; the Ohio-Indiana Unmanned Aircraft Systems Center; CropZilla; and Beck’s Hybrids.
The forum will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Troy Christian Elementary School, 1586 McKaig Ave., Troy. Phipps is expected to speak at noon.
