Coalition investment fund unveils web site

The Dayton Development Coalition’s area entrepreneurial investment fund has a new web site.

Accelerant, a coalition program, has launched www.accelerantdayton.com, which is focused on helping start-ups and entrepreneurs in the Dayton.

“We have created a robust website for entrepreneurs to connect with our team and also to access information about the strong entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Dayton region,” Joel Ivers, vice president of entrepreneurial development and Accelerant fund manager, said in the announcement.

The website has six tabs that give information about how to apply for funding from Accelerant, the program’s process for working with entrepreneurs, funding options and more.

Recently, the program raised over $6 million from local investors. It has submitted a response to a request for proposals from the Ohio Third Frontier Pre-Seed Fund Capitalization Program for more funds to be invested in Dayton-area entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, local fundraising continues, the organization said.

Accelerant recently announced its investment in TextPride, the region’s first digital merchandising company that specializes in developing brand-specific emoticons or texting symbols.

The coalition works with JobsOhio, state government’s private development arm, in a 14-county area around Dayton.
