Dayton Mall jewelry store to reopen Monday

Kay Jewelers will reopen its newly renovated and expanded Dayton Mall store on Monday, according to Dave Duebber, the mall’s general manager.

The jewelry store had been operating out of temporary space inside the mall since Sept. 8 while its permanent location was renovated and expanded by more than two-thirds. Kay Jewelers took over the former Sunglass Hut storefront after the Sunglass Hut moved into a kiosk in the mall, and that added 780 square feet to what is now a 1,936-square-foot jewelry store, Duebber said.

This is the final store relocation and renovation of a very busy 2014 for the Dayton Mall, Duebber said. The year also brought renovations to Bath & Body Works, an expanded Victoria’s Secret store, and the opening of H&M clothing retailer, among other projects.
