Here’s how much Dayton metro home prices rose in November

If you bought a house in the Dayton area in November, you probably saw higher prices than if you had been shopping around a year ago.

The average home sales price for November 2019 was $180,881 and median price was $155,000. These figures were up 9% and 12%, respectively, compared to November 2018, according to Dayton Realtors, which represents Montgomery, Greene, Darke, Warren, and Preble counties.

Home sales reported to the Dayton Realtors Multiple Listing Service in November totaled $213 million, up 2% from last November.

The number of sales reported totaled 1,181, down 6% compared to November 2018.

Listing entries in November totaled 1,235, down 30% from last month. This decrease from October is normal this time of year as fewer homes are put on the market as the holidays approach, according to the Dayton Realtors.

Year- to-date, Dayton Realtors reported

• 15,265 transactions, flat from last year;

• $2.7 billion in total sales volume, up 7% from 2018’s $2.5 billion;

• and an average sale price of $177,296 and median sale price of $153,000, both up 7% compared to 2018.
