Hospital systems are once again the West Ohio employers most aggressively advertising their job openings online, according to new state data.
Kettering Health Network posted 729 online job ads April 14 through May 13, the most recent state data available. That makes the hospital system the most aggressive job advertiser for the region, at least on the Internet.
Premier Health Network, the area’s largest hospital system, ranked second, with 344 online job ads, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services said.
Mercy Health was next, with 241 ads, tied with McDonald’s Corp. which had the same number of ads in that period.
Air Force Material Command — the heart of Air Force research and logistics headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base — was next with 223 ads. The command has about 80,000 military and civilian employees.
Rounding the top 10 for the region were Speedway (219 ads), Family Dollar (165), Crown Equipment Corp. (165), Leidos, the former SAIC, (155) and Bob Evans Farms Inc., with 147 ads.
In all, a total of 20,277 job openings were posted online for the April-May period by employers in Montgomery, Miami, Greene, Darke, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Fayette, Mercer, Preble and Shelby counties,.
This was an increase of 2,093 ads from the previous reporting period, the state said.
