Local defense contractor wins $11.6M Air Force award

A Beavercreek defense contractor has won an $11.6 million award for work with an air combat command division, the Pentagon has said.

Sawdey Solution Services Inc. — which has operations in Beavercreek and Langley Air Force Base, Virginia — has been awarded an $11, 603,908 contract for advisory and assistance services, the Department of Defense (DoD) said.

This contract provides for advisory services to Air Combat Command Operations Division in support of Air Combat Command aviation scheduling activities and reserve component man-day processing, the department said.

“The Operations Division is responsible for formulation and execution of the command-wide aviation schedule,” the announcement said. “Work will be performed at Langley AFB, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2023.”

In all, two offers were received in a competitive acquisition, the DoD said. The Air Force Installation Contracting Agency, in Langley, is the contracting activity.

Sawdey started with one employee in the year 2000. Now the more than $51 million Beavercreek business employs more than 500 employees and manages 250 sub contractors.
