Miami Twp. senior living facility has new owner

MIAMI TWP., Montgomery County — Lamplight Communities LLC, a family-owned company based in eastern Ohio, is the new owner and operator of a senior living facility that had been known as Emeritus at Laurelwood.

Lamplight Communities bought the 114-unit facility at 3797 Summit Glen Dr. from Emeritus Senior Living for $4 million and has been operating it since July 1, said Severine Petras, chief executive officer of Lamplight Communities. The facility is now known as Lamplight Inn of Dayton and has retained its nearly 60 employees, Petras said Tuesday, July 13.

The facility offers assisted-living services as well as residential services for people with Alzheimer’s disease.

It was the company’s third acquisition this year including locations in Fort Wayne, Ind., and suburban Cleveland, Petras said.

The company, formed in 2008, is acquiring a Richmond, Ind., facility on Aug. 1 and recently bought another site in the eastern Ohio town of Toronto, Petras said.
