Miamisburg company to close facility, lay off 54 workers

A medical instruments manufacturer in Miamisburg will lay off approximately 54 workers and close its facility, according to a WARN notice sent to a state agency.

X-Spine Systems Inc., located at 452 Alexandersville Road in Miamisburg, will lay off approximately 54 workers and will shut down the facility. The closure is expected to be permanent, according to a WARN notice sent to the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.

Employee layoffs will begin Dec. 8 and will continue through Feb. 28, 2018. Notices were sent to impacted employees in early October. This news organization has reached out to the company for more information.

X-Spine Systems Inc. was purchased by Montana-based Bacterin International Holdings Inc. back in 2015. X-Spine creates implants and instruments for medical services.
