Miller-Valentine Group honored by industry group

Dayton-based Miller-Valentine Group has been named General Contractor Member of the Year by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), a national trade association.

Miller-Valentine, a developer that builds both residential and commercial facilities, was honored for its impact on the construction industry, according to a media release.

“Miller-Valentine Group was very active in promoting the image of the construction industy and upholding the values of ABC’s Merit Shop philosophy and free enterprise principals,” said Doug Carlson, president of ABC of the Carolinas, in a statement.

Founded in 1963, Miller-Vallentine is headquarted in Dayton. The company also has offices in Cincinnati, Columbia and Charleston, S.C., and Fort Worth, Texas. Miller-Valentine has about 750 employees nationally.

Associated Builders and Contractors has 22,000 member firms nationally. The group was established to promote and improve the image of construction and address issues facing the industry.
