“I thought it was a good opportunity to bring back an independent pharmacy to the community,” said business owner Gary Reed.

The Clark’s pharmacy in Brookville has sold to CVS.

Reed’s Pharmacy started in 2011 in New Lebanon, which has about 10 employees. The business opened Carlisle Pharmacy three years ago, which has four employees.

The Brookville pharmacy will operate under the Reed’s Pharmacy name and have two employees to start.

Besides Reed, there are three other pharmacists on staff. Pharmacist Paul Bicknell is co-owner for the new Brookville pharmacy.

Reed said the pharmacy will have free medication delivery and free prepackaging of medications. He also said the staff will focus on have quick wait times for prescription fills.

“We just take care of the customer and the rest just falls into place,” Reed said. “We’re lucky to open in some great communities.”
