Several national retailers and locally owned businesses have announced new stores popping up across the Miami Valley.

1. Logan’s Roadhouse renovation, new hotel plans approved by city council

Beavercreek City Council approved plans to renovate the former Logan's Roadhouse to make way for new four new retailers and restaurants in the area. The city council also approved plans to construct a Home2 Suites by Hilton hotel near the Mall at Fairfield Commons. City council approved on Monday night an applicant's request for major modification of land in Beavercreek to construct a 107-room, five-story hotel on 1.81 acres near the Mall at Fairfield Commons. READ MORE

2. WATCH: Construction continues on Dayton area’s first At Home store

Developers are progressing on the renovation of a former Kmart store in Beavercreek, where the Dayton area's first At Home store will open next year. At Home, a Texas-based home decor chain retailer, will open its first location in the old Kmart building off of Indian Ripple Road. READ MORE

3. New hair salon, spa opens in Centerville

A new locally owned and operated salon and spa has opened in Centerville. Swoon Salon and Spa opened in late summer at 84 North Main St. in the historical Centerville district by owner Andrea Cole-Conahan. The salon carries Bumble and bumble hair styling products, and the stylists specialize in the "hottest hair trends and color." READ MORE

4. German grocery retailer Lidl to expand in Beavercreek

German grocery retailer Lidl will open a store in Beavercreek, one of the first locations in Ohio. Planning officials confirmed with this news organization that the German chain grocery store Lidl has submitted a land development application to build a grocery store on a lot on the southwest corner of N. Fairfield Road and Lakeview Drive. More than four acres of land will be developed. READ MORE

5. New candy store to open at The Greene this month

A new candy store is set to open at The Greene Town Center in Beavercreek later this month. La Puf Sweets caters candy buffets, cotton candy bars, s'mores bars and popcorn stations for parties.
