Indicted former Ohio House Speaker will remain on ethics panel

WARN notice: Airway Road Salvation Army store closed

Eight workers lost their jobs in May

The Salvation Army store on Airway Road has closed, the store has notified Ohio government.

With that action, eight employees have lost their jobs, Cleveland attorney Madilyn Maruna said in a July 2 letter to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

The store was located at 4912 Airway Road.

The termination of the employees happened back on May 11, Maruna said.

The decision is attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic, which destroyed retail traffic at a number of businesses deemed “non-essential,” particularly from mid-March on.

The Department of Job and Family Services received the letter Monday.
