The sheriff’s office said that the campaign is meant to “bring forth the problems with impaired drivers” and get them off the road.
Since the beginning of the year, in Montgomery County there have been 314 alcohol- or drug-related crashes, 22 of which killed someone and 135 of which at least injured someone, the sheriff’s office said.
Statewide, during that same period there have been 6,177 alcohol- or drug-related crashes, 250 of which led to a death and 2,576 of which caused injuries, according to the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
