Dayton man faces child sex, pornography charges involving 3-year-old girl

A Dayton man indicted Friday is accused of having sexually explicit images of a 3-year-old girl on his cellphone.

Nathaniel Levi Schmidt, 24, is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court gross sexual imposition of a victim younger than 13 and pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor.

An investigation by the Dayton Police Department found child pornography on Schmidt’s cellphone, according to, according to Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office spokesman Greg Flannagan.

Investigators identified one victim, a 3-year-old girl who is known to Schmidt, Flannagan said.

No attorney is listed for Schmidt, who is in the Montgomery County Jail.
