Good news: Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is once again participating in Restaurant Week. Better news: there is still time to get a reservation.

The eatery at the Greene in Beavercreek still has spots this week for regular-sized parties, staffers told me during a recent visit.

But you should act quickly.

Food lovers are sure to flock to this romantic steakhouse this week.

Flemings, 4432 Walnut St., and nearly 50 other restaurants are participating in the Miami Valley Restaurant Association’s 2013 Summer Restaurant Week through Sunday.

Each offers three-course meals and meal deals for $20.13, $25.13 and/or $30.13.

The week offers a good opportunity to introduce yourself to Fleming’s, an upscale restaurant where cold forks are provided with salads and linen is given out to match slacks (one wouldn’t want fuzz from white napkins on one’s white pants).

The restaurant specializes in prime cuts of beef and sells 100 wines by the glass.

Our waiter gave us an iPad with an interactive wine app that allows users to search for the right wine.

Although not as expensive as the options offered by some other restaurants participating in the week, Fleming’s restaurant week menu offers decent choices to chew on for $30.13 per meal.

For the first course, we tried the classic Caesar salad and a blue cheese crumble packed iceberg wedge.

The meal included Fleming’s Parmesean peppercorn sourdough bread accompanied by roasted tomato butter and Chardonnay infused feta cheese.

A few spots of the roasted tomato butter enhanced the Filet Mignon we ordered that came accompanied by grilled asparagus.

Fleming’s Filet Mignon costs $35.50 to $42.50 on the regular menu.

For the second entree, we ordered the Scottish Salmon served over herbed spinach with Cabernet butter. The salmon is coated in a tasty and peppery barbecue glaze. The salmon alone is $33.50 on the regular menu.

The meals came with a healthy portion of mashed potatoes, $8.50 on the regular menu.

We finished things off with servings of Fleming’s homey-tasting white chocolate bread pudding served with a raspberry sauce and mint.
