BBQ restaurant reopens

After a week of deep cleaning, Company 7 BBQ, 1001 S Main St. in Englewood, re-opened Monday, Feb. 10.

Co-owner Mary Grilliot said the eatery closes for a week for remodeling and a sprucing up each year.

ā€œWhen you are serving the very best food, you have to care about everything, including the environment you are serving the food in,ā€ Grilliot said.

She owns the restaurant with her husband, son and son-in-law.

The family opened it in Dec. 8, 2010. The restaurant’s main dining room can seat about 170. There is also a banquet room and a patio.

Grilliot pointed out the restaurant with a ā€œneighborhood feelā€ was featured six months ago Travel Channel’s ā€œFood Paradiseā€ and receives customers from out of town.

Hundreds of diners visit the restaurant each week which means doors get nicked and surfaces get scuffed up, she said.

The bar top has been resurface, walls were repainted and floors and woodwork repaired. Two additional TV sets have been added, bringing the TV count up to about 25 at Company 7.

Some fixtures have been rearranged.

Company 7 will hold a special presentation on evaluating and tasting beer for members of its Brew Crew at 7 p.m. Membership to the group is free and open to the public.

The restaurant’s corn muffins have been replaced with Texas toast. The corn muffins received mixed reviews from customers.
