Jillena McConnell obliged her then 5-year-old’s request and shaved part of his head Dr. Phil-style.
Clips from the video the Trotwood woman shot of the shaving were featured Sunday on TruTv’s show “Top 20 Funniest.”
It was a short-lived look.
“I let him keep it for several hours right before bed time, then I cut it off. I used to watch Dr. Phil all the time and he would watch it with me,” McConnell, a friend and former coworker, wrote me in a Facebook message.
Cerjyo, now 12, didn’t seem to like getting his haircut, but he seemed happy with the results.
He checked himself out in the video.
“I am not sure why he chose (Dr. Phil), it was so random…lol,” McConnell wrote.
“Dr. Phil” airs 10 a.m. Monday through Friday on WHIO-TV 7.
