“A lot of people are really focusing on this being our last album, and it’s disappointing to me. If it was a little bit later in the year, it’d be a bit more appropriate but the record just came out two months ago. Our first video came out a month ago and our tour started after that, so we’re just beginning this record cycle.”
CONCEPT ALBUM
“I thought it would be an interesting idea for this character I created, Hydra, to come off the page, inhabit me and create these songs. I allowed her to narrate, navigate and create the world she exists in.”
REWARDS OF THE ROAD
“I love this album, so it’s very important for me to give it all the emotion, devotion and dedication it deserves. Now the fun part begins, and we’re able to perform those songs we did in the studio in front of people, and that’s really rewarding. After this run, we’re going to Australia and then Mexico City. Who knows what happens after that, but for now we’ve got a lot of touring left to do.”
