The 8th annual Dayton Brew Ha-Ha presents: It's a Beautiful Day in the NeighBEERhood — An Old School Beer Fest. This popular fundraiser in Kettering brings in brews from nearby states, craft beer you can't find around here and your favorites from local breweries.
The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Montessori School of Dayton, 2900 Acosta St. Benefits go to the school’s capital-improvement fund. The MSD is the largest school in Dayton area “dedicated to educating toddlers through eighth-graders using the Montessori method.”

"The festival celebrates the growth and maturity of the craft beer industry in the Midwest," according to Brew Ha-Ha's website. "Event organizers are producing a beer list that is representative of the breadth and depth of the renowned offerings from Ohio and our neighboring states. The event will feature breweries big and small, and will showcase both rare, hard to find beers and accessible beers for those just getting into craft beer appreciation. Dayton's local breweries will be well-represented with offerings that highlight the growth of the industry in the Gem City. A list of the participating breweries will be continually updated."

This year, the Brew Ha-Ha’s “VIP hour” starts at 5 p.m. Attendees will receive exclusive early admission, half pint tasting glass and five extra tasting tickets to enjoy special access to rare and very limited quantity beers.
Tasting guides and “beer ambassadors” will be on hand during the event to help attendees navigate the room and find beers that match their favorite flavor profiles. Those interested in beer history can chat with representatives of Carillon Brewing to understand Dayton’s historical role in brewing. And members of DRAFT (Dayton Regional Amateur Fermentation Technologists), the local home-brewing club, will be on hand to discuss making beer at home.
General admission tickets are $42 and VIP are $52. Tickets and more information are available online at brewhahadayton.com and on the Facebook page. The event has sold out in previous years, so we recommend you purchase your tickets ASAP.
