Michael Bacon composes music for TV and film and Kevin Bacon is one of those celebs we all think we know.

Heck, there's is now even a website for the nearly 20-year-old Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game (Try Kevin Bacon to Kim Kardashian to prove that Bacon is linked somehow to almost everyone in show business).

Kevin Bacon is currently the star of the Fox network hit ā€œThe Following.ā€

The Hollywood actor has had key roles in a long list of critically acclaimed and simply beloved films that include ā€œThe Woodsman,ā€ ā€œFootloose,ā€ National Lampoon’s Animal House,ā€ ā€œJFK,ā€ ā€œA Few Good Men,ā€ ā€œApollo 13,ā€ ā€œMystic Riverā€ and ā€œFrost/Nixon.ā€

You’ve seen his movies. You may even know his music.

But do you really know Bacon?

Here are five facts you may or may not know about Kevin Bacon:

Upset Bacon

He used to hate the whole Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon thing.

"I was horrified by it. I thought it was a giant joke at my expense," Bacon said in March at the South by Southwest Interactive festival, according to CNN.com. "I appreciate it now. But I was very resistant to it (at first)."

Artsy Bacon

Creativity was key when the Bacon brothers were boys in Philly.

"My parents did not care if we got good grades, made money, put our elbows on the table or played sports as long as we were drawing a picture or creating a song or a play," Kevin Bacon said in 2012, according to Metro. He has five siblings including Michael.

Bacon on Philly

Ed Bacon, the Bacon brothers' father, helped shape the city of Philadelphia as an urban planner, according to CBS Local Philadelphia.

Bacon acts with Bacon

Kevin Bacon reprises roles from some of his most famed films — "Friday the 13th," "A Few Good Men," "Apollo 13," "Footloose," and "Hollow Man" — in an ad released earlier this year the British download service EE Film Store. Click here to watch and note that "A Few Good Men" Bacon does not dance.

Bacon in Space

A Kevin Bacon joke shows up in the recently released film ā€œGuardians of the Galaxy.ā€

When the character Gamora played by Zoe Saldana says she is a warrior and assassin and doesn't dance, Star-Lord played by Chris Pratt, comes back with a gem, according to the website Comicbook.com.

ā€œReally? Well, on my planet, there’s a legend about people like you. It’s called Footloose. And in it, a great hero, named Kevin Bacon, teaches an entire city full of people with sticks up their butts that dancing, well, it’s the greatest thing there is.ā€
