This Saturday, Feb. 22, 2nd Street Market in Dayton will be celebrating Black History Day at the Market, featuring performances by African American musicians, dancers and artists.

In honor of Black History Month, 2nd Street Market in downtown Dayton is celebrating its own “Black History Day.” At the event, taking place on Saturday, Feb. 22, attendees will be able to celebrate the rich history of African-American art and culture with Dayton's most creative African-American musicians, dancers and artists.

You won’t want to miss performances by:

• DC Ensemble (Dianne Coble Ensemble): 9:30-11 a.m.

>> Dangerous Dames of Dayton will celebrate the 100th anniversary of 19th Amendment

• Kuumba Drama Drum Dance: noon to 12:30 p.m.

• Paul Laurence Dunbar poetry reading (courtesy of the Paul Laurence Dunbar House): 12:45-1:15 p.m.

•  All ages are welcome and the event is free.
