“As the Dayton Art Institute celebrates its centennial this year, we also want to thank the community for the fantastic support it has shown the museum over the past 100 years,” Dayton Art Institute Director and CEO Michael Roediger said in a news release. “This special discount on the first Thursdays of September through December includes access to the collection galleries, as well as all special and focus exhibitions.”
Upcoming $5 Thursdays will take place on September 5, October 3, November 7 and December 5.

The $5 Thursday on Sept. 5 includes admission to the special exhibition “Our Century: Dayton Area Collect”s (on view through September 22), as well as the “Focus Exhibitions Monet and Impressionism” (extended through September 22), “The Moon Museum” (closing Sept. 8), “In the Company of Friends: The Kettering and Patterson Legacy” and “Impressive: 100 Years of Japanese prints.”
Upcoming exhibitions at the DAI include “William Preston Mayfield Photographs” (Sept. 21–Dec. 29) , Mona Lisa Today (Sept. 21, 2019–Jan. 12, 2020), Art of Ernest Blumenschein (Nov. 16, 2019–Jan. 23, 2020) and Maker & Muse: Women and Early 20th Century Art Jewelry (Oct. 26, 2019 – Jan. 19, 2020).
